Stihl E220 with a 28" bar?

This is a great little saw that I got off of CL a few weeks ago. It has a 16" bar mounted on it and I put a new chain on- nice cutter for the smaller jobs near the house.

It also came with a 28" rollomatic bar and oilomatic chain with little use. I really can not imagine running that bar and chain on this saw, but was wondering what it would hurt to try? I may just sell the bar and chain on CL, any suggestions on a fair price for it?

That saw is very powerful for an electric. A 20" would be the longest I'd run.

I would say no way. Need at least a 6hp saw to run a full comp 28" chain, my guesstimate is that would require an electric saw that draws around 7000 watts...or around 60 amps at 120V!!

same here that is a hot ele. saw but 20in. is far as I would go
