Ever had the change to bring down a few oaks filled with caterpillars of the Thaumetopoea processionea moth? I had. Yesterday i got an old nest the size of a football in the back of my neck. Feels like a thousand midges bit me at once. Bad thing is that i still have to do four trees. Did anyone else had to do with these things, or has anyone tips to prevent the result on your body?

Haven't had that particular situation, but it sounds like it calls for rain gear. Reminds me of piling net below a boom on a salmon seiner, raining jelly fish on you, all day every day. Rain gear, hood up, under your helmet. Good luck. Probably a day late.
