what is the best rope to use to tie your french prusic, Vt or distle hitch. Some thing thats not going glaze over so fast or some thing that does not cost 22.00 dollars per line. Thanks James

I don`t know if it`s the best but the eye and eye prusik cord from Sherrill has worked well for me.
I dont like it for the schwabisch or distel

I am using 3/8 double braid for all of the knots in question, as well as ultratech for the Vt only.

165, To me the big advantage of the split tail system lies in the ability to use the climbing line as a second lanyard/move your tie in point easily. The advanced hitches ARE nice too of course.
