1990 262xp blue wire from coil to the cut off switch.From the factory does it go over or under the protective boot for the carb adjustment screws. Thank you for your time.

That is what I thought I have seen in the past. It seems crazy to go over. Must be a reason. Thank you for taking the time. My new wire is installed and goes over the rubber boot like the video.

Weird, huh? I wonder what their reasoning was. Me? I’d probably slide it underneath and out of the way.

Mine was underneath but had rubbed through to bear wire.Maybe someone will chime is on the mystery? Thanks again!
