Let me make a prediction......... 3/10 lb heavier with 2/10 more horsepower but will sip fuel and have superb filtration. Cost will be $659 PHO!



Stihl sounds like a winner to me.

I don't know but my dealer promised to call me as soon as he takes shipment of one. I can't wait. That "881" (a saw I'l e never need or more honestly, never afford) has me all hot and bothered!

If the R&D guys at Stihl were AS members, they would know exactly what folks were looking for! It amazes me sometimes, that people in the business of making things that costumers are passionate about, can be so out of touch with their costumer's passions. Anything to make a buck.

The R&D guys might just build exactly what you want...... Then comes the accounting department, EPA, and even the legal department!

Don't think it's as easy as you make it sound! Times are changing!

Aint it the truth!

It's gotta work, be profitable to manufacture(Meaning the assembly line has to be CHEEEAAAPP to build/maintain) and then meet the guidelines of the completely discombobulated,rectal defilade suffering,inbred,moronic legislators...and appeal to the consumer.

We would have hovercraft and 30hp chainsaws right now if it were left to the R&D guys alone...LOL!!!

Been running a 362 since october, upgraded from the 361. More power, a little heavier powerhead, think 290, 310, or 390. Holds a smidge less fuel and oil than 361 so overall work weight is about the same as 361. Snap locks and also has 2 stage airfilter and fresh air prefiltration system. Can lay it on a log and let 'er rip with out bogging, better than my 361 did for sure.
