Tree Help Needed

hi i would like to plant some oak and maple trees on my lot and was wondering where would be a good place to buy starter ones that i can transplant on my property. i just don't want to pay 200 bucks for one i want to get them cheep. i live in Connecticut can someone advice me on what i can do. i only need 4 or 5 of them.

Find some 1 with some land and ask if you can dig the trees off thier property, pay them something ,and you get what you want and decide what specimen gets to be displayed on your property.
 
You may want to contact your state forestry department and see if they give away seedlings, or provide them cheaply. My wife is always pulling sugar maple seedlings out of her flower bed, like B-Edwards said, maybe one of your neighbors will let you nose around their garden for "weed" trees.
