That's smooth Brad. I would like the chance to lay into a big white oak that's here on my place with that beast. I've got a 044/046 hybrid on the way that I'm going to build just for that tree.

I'm a bit jealous of you guys with those big saws, I ain't gonna lie about it, lol. Great work as always, Brad. Good on you for sharing all this with us.

Nice vid! (HD I see this time, too!)

Wow, you sure picked a nice hard chunk of wood to bury that bar in. Purred right on through it with the governor off. I can't imagine why anyone would turn the governor back on after seeing that vid.

I passed up on a low priced 090 a while back. Now I'm kicking myself after reading this thread.

I'm guessing that this saw is a torque monster, no bogging it down in the cut at all. Is that about right Brad?

For some reason I can't see the pictures on the first few pages. The saw looks good in the end though. I'm rebuilding a contra into a 090 so I'd like to see the pictures of the guts. Can everyone else still see the pictures?

Nope - they are not showing up for me either. I think Brad has his own server where he posts his pictures and it might be down right now.

I'm having problems with my domain. SmugMug changed the way things work and I've got to get the c-name change on my domain. Until then, photo.blsnelling.com won't work. Instead I'm having to use blsnelling.smugmug.com. I should be able to resolve this with a phone call. It's just a matter of taking time to do it.

Nice job Brad I have just gotten 4 090's for rebuild and more than likely be happy to make 3 runners for the time being, one is the earlier 2 piece rod ..... I need these like a hole in the head but hey a man needs something to do

Mighty fine of you to bring this old thread back out of retirement... Lots of good info for 090 builders. So simple in design and heavy duty.

Lots of my old threads are gone:(
My dyno build with pics and detailed description of how I built it are gone. I also lost all my likes when the hacking took place.
Nice thread Brad. I wasn't here when it was started so its nice to see it now.

All of my build threads were done before a lot of the newbies were around. It's been a couple years since I was able to do threads like that.
