Whats the deal with NOS Saws?

NOS, I'd cut with it, it's a saw. If I got a NOS 454 Chevelle, I'd drive it, it's a car.

Pretty soon i might get my old '64 Fairlane out of the garage and drive it. Its only been sitting there 23 years. Maybe i will put my new Echo on the front seat and take a spin around the block LOL. I have been looking at buying a "new" '69 Mach I body to replace the one i bought in '77...Bob
 
There is a 024S on the San Francisco CL that claims to be NOS for $400

That doesnt seem to be a bad price on it, if it is in fact NOS. "NOS" makes all the difference in price, which is why I hold off to see what they are worth before I lay into them. I cant let one sit in a box, but if its worth good money- I would rather sell the NOS saw and buy a nice used one and have some spare cash for other saws... just my .02
