Or, forget the 024AV, keep looking for an 024 Super that can be made into an 026 later down the track if the top end gives up and drop the 250/291.
I have an 024 AV that I am going to rebuild. I have the cylinder/piston kit and a new carberator ready to replace the factory installed parts. I would like to know the torque values for the cylinder, carberator, and muffler. Also, any tips or must know information to get this done correctly. I have an inch-pound torque wrench to set the torque to factory specifications. Any advice is much appreciated and is there a factory service manual that could assist me? ThanksThree years ago I sold a Stihl 024 AV for $150 that I rebuilt. The new owner loves the saw.
Here's your 024 service manual:
I never ran stihl’s yet. I only run the husky saws so far.
What’s the difference between the 024av and the 024 super?
I love my 024. Besides how expensive air filters are
How’s the 024 av compare to a 350 stock husky.
How does an MS 250 compare to a 346XP?
For starters, the MS250 is classified by Stihl as a homeowner saw...not even in the farmer/rancher class.
