Well I was finally told for the last time (by Wifey) to relocate our little brown bats that have made a home under our wood siding above the new deck.
Seems I was neglecting to pop those boards back into place for some time.
So I had a plan to make a new home for them from some rough cut milled pine of mine.
This would be my first bat house and I wanted it to not only be functional, but also match the rustic decor of my cedar sided home.
I did some internet research on what was needed by way of size, and requirements for the chambers and enclosure etc. as well as its best placement and location.
Making it was very enjoyable and now that it's up we are hopeful that our insect-eating friends will be back and love their new home.
