I've recently purchased a new in the box, made in Japan, Echo CS310ES fully expecting that I'd do a muffler modification and remove the limiting caps.
Much to my surprise there's no cat, no limiting caps, no spark arrestor and the muffler exhaust is a solid cutout.
Having no experience in chainsaw modification would appreciate advice as to whether I should now do a deflector modification or get rid of the deflector altogether and just install a course spark arrestor.
