    Jonsered Chainsaws

It looks like Husqvarna discontinued the part for the bar tensioner. The last saws to use them were built in 2009 according to some parts sites. I checked on chainsawr and they have none available. I wasn't sure if anyone on the site had some new old stock lying around I might be able to...

    Jonsered Chainsaws

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted on this forum, but I've recently acquired a jonesered 535 from a barn sale. There are a few parts that I'm looking for, and it looks like i may be SOL unless anyone knows of acceptable replacements? The part or parts that I need so far are 504...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

The bar has 050 .375 SC on it and the chain is a McCulloch mini 370 with tie strap bumpers. I'm guessing my grandfather used it without keeping up with the manual oiler and ran it loose and dressed the bar down too far. Those three things would cause it to stretch and wear faster right? Sent...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Hi All, I'm a little confused with this, but I noticed that the bar on my eager beaver 2.0 was all the way forward today and the chain was still loose. I counted and I have 49 drive links on the 14 inch bar I have. The chain is at its half life, but it shouldn't be stretched that far already...

McCulloch Mini and Small CC Chainsaw's

@heimannm did the eagerbeaver 2.0 come with and without the automatic oiler? I know I have one of the first models that were made in '83

Poulan S25DA, is it worth getting running?

I posted this in the poulan thread, but for those following here this wouldn't have been possible without @Acornhill. After a new handle gasket, carb gasket, woodruff key, handle grip, thrust washer throttle wire boot, dust seal, air filter, and the dawgs, this thing looks good as new...

Poulan S25DA, is it worth getting running?

Today I was moving the piston up and down without the plug in the cylinder and noticed that there is some black on the piston. the saw was still running before i started tearing it down. is this normal for one of these saws?

McCulloch Mini and Small CC Chainsaw's

Makes me glad I have a manual oiler eager beaver. On a different note, is it normal to have to run at half to 3/4 choke for a while before putting load on it or do I need to adjust / clean the carb? Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Well, I had it apart for other reasons (fuel line and then found out the handle gasket and carb gasket needed to be replaced) so I figured I'd do as much maintenance as possible while I was at it. Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk

    Nik's Poulan Thread

I'm assuming this is carbon buildup that my wife's late grandfather and I have been lucky enough to not have break off. whats the best way to remove it? I have heard that it is extremely advised NOT to use a metal scraper, so that leaves plastic or wood? I'm also assuming I want the piston all...
