As the title states, I am looking for Husqvarna L65 Parts or Parts Saws in the Middle GA area. Does anyone have some that are taking up space and need to get gone?

Has anyone picked up any spare .325-7 rim sprockets for these saw and have a part number?

The clamshell Husqvarna 41, 45, 49, and their Jonsered counterparts were also Partner / Pioneer designs, if my memory serves me well...

I am not sure on the G4500, but would be really surprised if they were different.

I am running a 16" .325 setup on the G4500; it oils ok. Without having a G5800, but knowing they use the same case as the G4500 and most likely the same oiler, I would think an 18" bar would be about perfect for it. I wonder if it would react similar to a Husqvarna 55 when using a .325" chain...

Food for thought, I am currently remodeling a house built in the 60's; sometime in the past a Red Maple was planted ~20' from the house. We found roots of the Red Maple ~8' in under the house. I am in Central GA and the house is on a foundation, not a slab. I hope it won't cause problems in...

Just remember that Horsepower = (Torque * RPM) / 5252 It may produce better lugging ability to work through a nicked chain, etc. when bucking firewood, but you may not want to do a lot of felling with it... Everything is a tradeoff...

Going from the G4500 to a G5800, you may see enough difference in them to warrant the purchase, however; I don't think you will see that performance difference between your 251 and the G5800...

If you are going the FarmerTec route, I would consider the G372 (65cc / Husqvarna 365 clone)... IMHO; you probably want a 20cc jump in size to really notice a major difference in what tasks the saw can perform. I mentioned in another thread that I purchased a 562xp and then a 545 a few months...

@MattyJ5 It is a small Husqvarna mount; I picked up this combo from Bailey's, but my saw is the G4500. I don't have the G5800, but I believe they share the same case so the bar mount should be the same. These saws are Zenoah clones. WoodlandPRO 16" TimberMAX Lite Bar & 3 Chain Combo (66 DL)...

So far one is working well, the other is still in the box... I have about a gallon of the recommended 25:1 through it to date, with the out of box tune. I hope to retune to 40:1 shortly and see if / how it wakes up any. I have no issue with the current performance level, but more power is always...

Like @Poleman said, keep them around that 13k or below and they may live forever... If I am not mistaken, @weimedog has a video of he and @spike60 discussing the 372 bearing life...

Cold start on the 545 is the same for me on any other saw... 1) A couple pumps on the primer bulb, if equipped. 2) Apply choke. 3) Pull until it pops over (usually 3 pulls, unless it has been sitting for a while). 4) Move choke to run/fast idle. 5) Pull until it cranks (usually 2 pulls) but if...

The oaks, pecans, and sweetgums in the southeast can get rather large... If I come across one to big for a 572, I will leave it for someone else to take down. Not sure if you know the history of the 41-45-49 series and their Jonsered & Partner counterparts... They were originally a Partner...

If I hadn't purchased the 562 first, I doubt I would have purchased it after the 545. I would have just waited for the 572. I like the 562, but if I need more saw than the 545, I will likely need more saw than the 562 and will be looking for a 70cc class saw, especially when felling. I almost...

The 545 is most likely my favorite 50cc saw; it may be my favorite saw, currently in the stable... I picked up one to replace an 94' model Husqvarna 45 that was worn out... Much more power for the same weight saw... My 562 sees very little work just because the 545 is so capable...

Didn't Walt @weimedog build up a 555 with the 2260 parts in search of the ultimate old man saw? I think he did, or that was the plan, but it has been a while since I have seen the video(s).

Started Fence Row cleanup duties this past Saturday. We will see how it holds up...
