What should I charge, many variables.

I would charge $600-800 here. I also have a mini skid, dump trailer, and dump truck. My total time on this would be about 2-3 hours depending on where I had to go dump Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stump grinding equipment setups

I love the van pulling the trailer. I can assure you that your overhead is significantly lower than most companies. No, most of the GrindingS do not go in the hole. A 4-5ft Stump can easily make a pickup full of GrindingS On another note, I pulled the trigger on a SC70TX. The machine is an...

    Stump grinding equipment setups

I have a very similar business model. I clean up about 75% of the jobs I do. I have a Ditchwitch SK800 miniskid and bandit 38hp on tracks. I have a load trail 14ft dump trailer with a hydraulic ramp. The ramp tilts up hydraulically when I need to dump. I can fit several small jobs in the front...

So this happened today - banditt stump grinder

For all I know this is a common occurrence, but from the reaction I rm received from banditt I doubt it. While taking out a row of small stumps, I noticed the "upper unit" seemed shaky. Shortly after the whole upper unit shifted and started to fall off to the left (while the grinder wheel was...

    Stihl 192 top handle

The ace hardware near me, where I have Business account, has a "new" Stihl 192 top handle on the shelf. I buy a decent amount of material from them, but never any chainsaws. I want to low-ball them with an offer because this thing has obviously been on the shelf for awhile. Does anyone know...

    First Stump Grinder

We have had an unbelievably mild winter in my area so far... But that is going to change quickly. Other than personally being cold and miserable - is there any certain temperature that you can't grind below? I say this because I am still getting calls and don't really know if it's possible to...

    First Stump Grinder

I agree, neither optipn is better or worse- usually nicer neighborhoods will pay a premium for clean up and then seed or sod. I always give the cleanup and topsoil price first, then let them know there are cheaper options if they want to do some work themselves... So far has worked well for me...

    First Stump Grinder

I envy you both...I don't have enough work to give up the extra money that goes along with the finish work. I'm still young, so the work isn't too taxing on me. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    First Stump Grinder

I'm not a very reliable reviewer in terms of comparing this to another unit. I have never used the SC252. I do like my 1844, and knowing everything I know about it now, would still buy it again. The bang for your buck is hard to beat. I love the power, portability, swing controls, and ease...

    Stump Grinding Chainsaw...ms461??

Your grinder is probably much faster than my little 38hp bandit! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Stump Grinding Chainsaw...ms461??

I agree that may be true if your talking about 6" of a 12" diameter stump. Around here is mostly oak, Maple, and Ash, all of which can easily get a 60"+ diameter trunk. Although Omaha doesn't have the rock in the soil like Vancouver either. I did get the 461 with the 25" bar today. Was...

    Stump Grinding Chainsaw...ms461??

I guess what matters most... does anyone run a 32 inch bar on their stock 461? I could use a skip chain, and would only need it when I get a stump over 45+ inches. Probably 20 times a year... For everything else I can use the 25 inch bar, which should pull great. Thank again for any input...

    Stump Grinding Chainsaw...ms461??

Once again looking for some advice... Learning the hard way that it is way easier to cut off even just 4-6" of stump than it is to grind through it. Problem is I only have a ms290 with 18" bar. Barely enough juice to cut through even a 30" soft Maple. Most trees around here are either Maple...

    Stump Grinding Technique

Well obviously if your adding topsoil, you have already sold them on hauling the debris away. After that it's just a quick measurement to determine how many bags of soil... I know bulk soil is cheaper but you can buy a cubic foot of bagged topsoil for $1.49 up here, most jobs need 2-12 bags...

    Green teeth 900 series

Thank you, that makes complete sense now. It does seem like I am using about half the tooth. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    First Stump Grinder

Somebody on one of these threads came up with a pretty good formula that I hijacked. By the inch below 30" then based on area above that, seems to work pretty good for me Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    First Stump Grinder

So far I'm in that range most the time... Need to be a little better about sticking with my gut on cleanup though.. Still afraid of letting woek go and ended up doing a few way to cheap... Learning curve Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Green teeth 900 series

That helps a ton. I do have the 38hp unit so will probably upgrade when these teeth start showing some wear. Can I call the number you listed to order from you? Also do you sharpen teeth? Thanks, Dave Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Green teeth 900 series

Another nube question.... i have a bandit zt1844 with greenteeth - yesterday I hit some heavy gage wire and got it wrapped around the cutter wheel... After undoing that catastrophe I thought I would play around with the teeth and see how easy they are to rotate... I have read everywhere that...
