By the way you were right about contacting stihl technical support.They are about useless.

there is a short sticker has 311Y on it not the long sticker like on most of my other saws.The cylinder also has 93 stamped on it on the flywheel side.

My saw has a sticker which reads /stihl Andreas 1993 /It is located on the anti kickback clutch locking lever on top of saw .Is this the approximate date of manufactor

I disassembled this saw today as I could not get it to run.The piston measures 41.90 mm .I assume this would require the 42 mm piston and not the 42.5 am I correct.I called sthil and technical support .They informed me all 025s use the 42.5 mm piston.I do not think this is correct.

price from the stihl dealer for 039 carbs.walbro hd21 around 50 bucks fits only made in the USA model.walbro hd19 also for 039 model 100 dollars.What is the difference ?there is a huge difference in price

am I wrong that a walbro carb is the same whether you buy it from a stihl dealer or online.There is about an giant difference in price.I assume it is flooding.Compression good,no leaks,has fire to the plug but when you spray mixed fuel in the carb nothing happens and plug is wet.

About 12 bucks for the new carb about 3 bucks for kits.The diaphragm and gasket order is correct.

got the dirko in.It worked,no leaks and saw is holding vacume .I am now ready to reassemble .There is a major difference in the motoseal and dirko.Dirko in the future for me .It stays where you put it.
