    046 running again!!

I posted last December about my 046 and posted some pics of the cylinder where I went through the plating cleaning it up. Well, it's going again and I can't wait to cut some wood. I put a Stihl piston in it which I had to wait 3 months and 2 days for going thru the dealer where I work. Don't get...

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

I've never heard of somebody going to that much trouble to lock the engine, but that would explain it. I can't find the missing part of the skirt. I've had the saw upside down trying to shake it out. The guy who sold it to me was sketchy but I can't figure out how he could have done this.

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

I really appreciate the advise. My 1st saw was a PP335. I'd like to do something cool on this one, without getting into porting. You seem like you know your Poulans. What would you do with this one? What is a low top? If you have the P/C, intake and carb that you would recommend, please feel...

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

Thank you sir. I saw a craftsman 3.7 saw like all those ones you have and just assumed it was a bigger bore cylinder for the same crankcase as the 3.3. If I could find a 3.7 cylinder and piston, I'd do whatever extra work it took to have a sleeper but would also settle for just putting her back...

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

The 3.7 that will work on a 335 PRO. Not the countervibe 3.7.

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

How much do you want for that set? Would you by any chance have a usable 3.7 P/C? I have a minty craftsman 3.3 like you have there. Nice collection you have!

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

It's not thin enough to just collapse in like that. I'm trying to figure out how the rod would have ever contacted the skirt. As far as I can tell, the cyl has never been off this saw.

    Poulan Pro 335 what happened?

Morning folks. I bought this saw 3 years ago and never could get it to run right. We're slow enough at work that today I took it apart and the intake side of the piston is collapsed at the bottom of the skirt. Which my pics will show if they load. I have a 3300 that I was thinking about...

    Getting annoyed with Stihl

Well I'd love to have it, and thank you very much! Is there a saw or a saw part you're in need of?

    Getting annoyed with Stihl

Yes sir I was still planning to use that one I posted about a few weeks back. How much do you want for that one of yours? And thanks, BTW!

    Getting annoyed with Stihl

Well that's the first I've heard of that. I don't know if we're elite, but we definitely treat our customers right here. I'm 100% a wrench turning guy here and haven't even been doing that for long, so I don't know anything about programs, but I will talk to the other guys about it. Thanks for...

    Getting annoyed with Stihl

I did not. I just asked one of the guys up front to order it for me. That way I was sure to get my employee discount. He may have checked but who knows. I will ask him tomorrow.

    Getting annoyed with Stihl

I paid up front for the one I'm waiting for and it would be frowned upon for me to try to cancel the order. It's an option though but trying to be patient. I've heard many good things and a few bad comments about meteor, but I'm definitely going to be putting one in an 064 pretty soon. Thanks

    Getting annoyed with Stihl

Morning folks. I ordered an OEM piston for an 046 somewhere around mid December and still haven't seen it. I ordered it thru the dealership where I work. We have had several stock orders come in since I ordered the piston. Has anybody else run into this? One of my coworkers said maybe they have...
