    hey there down here in pa I sell firewood, that is anything that does get to the paper mill or is not logs. I can get close to 6-8 cord out of a triaxle truck, the wood is left at truck length which is about 24-26 feet here. That comes to somewhere around 18-21 tons if it is good hardwood...

    hi I can see where those things can come in real handy. I only use my skidder for jobs that I know I will be on for awhile and I am going to get a triaxle load of logs. I imagine that carrying a 3/4 inch rope into the tree is better than a 5/8 cable and 5 slides....LOL mike

    I am glad that someone told me about this forum. I am just staring to climb and I really love it. Only now I can do it safely. I have already made a list of what to buy. Thanks to this forum and the very talented and experienced people on it.
