I just swapped my 2016 562xp air filter and housing for the updated one.
Question is did the 560xp (2260) get the same update or is it gtg? My 2260 appears to have the same filter housing as the old one on the 562. Filter is different but same housing.
Gotta new to me 7900 inbound and like to send her off to get ported. Haven’t been around in a while so I’m not up to date on the porting scene.
Who do yall recommend?
Sold my 7900 and picked up a used 16' 2260 and a new bar (and flippy caps). Did some fire mitigation stuff around the property for it's maiden voyage. Holy smokes, these saws rip!
Most Silver Maple I’ve dealt with has been very straight grained and splits easily with nice uniform easy-to-stack pieces that ultimately burn nice. Not long, but nice. I can process a bunch of it very quickly which tends to make up for the lack of BTUs. This all assumes free scrounging as...
My 550 (2012) has had hot start problems on hot days, even going through the high-idle start sequence. I just curse it a few times and let it cool down while I run my other saw. I have not had the AT updated though, yet.
Just sold my 7900 and a new 562/2260 is on my short list for a...
I run my 550xp and 2252 at our house here in west Evergreen at 8,400ft w/o issue. Beauty of auto tune.
Finding a dealer nearby that can competently work on the AT (firmware updates, etc.) is another story.
Per Husqvarna, "all" altitudes are kosher:
TTT - Very underrated saw here folks. The 2252 is like the very attractive but rational sister of the hot and crazy 550xp. The one that you would actually want to marry and be with all the time.
Seeing that I'm probably priced a bit high, I'll throw in a used 18" Husky B&C (pro-lite). Pics...
Selling a 2013 Jonsered 2252 that I just recently picked up that had been straight gassed. I replaced the scored P&C with a brand new OEM Husky 550xp P&C, OEM gasket and then ran a tank of Trufuel 40:1 premix through it.
Starts and runs great. Feels very similar to my 550xp when running an...
