    You've got some great toys there.. my buddy had a KDX200 and i loved that bike.. really easy to ride. Light, good power.. I have an '02 XR250.. just sorting out the jetting on. Have to say, I'm envying you having access to what look like some great places to ride. best, Marc

    sorry for slow response.. Yes, motor has been gone through .. super blends installed.. went with a Johnson flat track cam to get a bit more mid-range .. don't think i really need the top end as much as a bit more grunt. i have an 850 as well and it just pulls.. i'm told the 750 needs to wind up...

    This has been on the lift too long.. 1972 Norton 750 Combat The list of things left to finish is real short and down to tightening things and timing. Also, the tank and side covers haven't been painted.

    Follow on to my last post for what it's worth My 550 XP Mk1 arrived yesterday.. power head did weigh 10.8 (my scale has it just under 11).. with full fuel, oil, and the 18" bar it weighs 14.. I also have a 440e .. power head only is 9.7 lbs on paper.. with fuel, oil, and 18" bar it weighs 13...

    So, you're suggesting that the choice of chain is not important since the original chain was as aggressive as was made probably for all saws at the time? Also that these newer less aggressive chains aren't as important since the saw isn't that powerful? Ok.. I hadn't thought of that...
