    Husky 359 or 555?

I have both and run both as firewood saws. They both run the same power and speed wise after the 359 was muffler mod'd. The 555 is stock. The 555 runs a NK chain, and it doesnt hold and edge as well in hard wood compared to the 359 3/8 chain. The 555 is lighter and noticable in that reguard...

    Best chainsaw sharpener

Here's some of the bigger oak we break down for fire wood. I fell a little bad for not planking the stuff and making beautiful tables from it. I just dont have the time for side projects like that.

    Echo 330T muffler

Leave the screen as is. Cut a rectangle in the muffler the full length of the dimple. The existing exit hole Is at one end of that Dimple that should be cut out. Cut the deflector and the gasket to match the rectangle cut you make in the muffler. I figured it would be too loud to...

looking for a smaller in the 45 CC class

It's a great comparison when taking price points into account. The de-tuned Husky 359 is still more expensive than the Echo 600p, and they both run about the same. The quality is there in both saws. I was kinda disappointed to see the Echo fair as well to my more expensive Husky. It turned...

looking for a smaller in the 45 CC class

The cs 450 was in his short list. The cs500 is a lighter saw with more power. My echo cs600p gave my Husky 359 a run for its $. Both were muffler modded. The build quality is right there, and it's a couple hundred cheaper. I don't know that HP specs from the mnfg mean to much when comparing...

looking for a smaller in the 45 CC class

The cs-500 echo is the outlier and the saw I'm eye balling. It's lighter than both it's small brother the cs450 and it's bigger brother the cs550. It's real close to the same weight and feel of my cs400 saw with oddles of more power. I've muffler modded as cs330t, a cs 400, a cs600p and a...

Echo cs600 muffler mod video and pictures

No offence taken. I'm here to learn. The chains are sharp, the 359 chain is brand new out of the box. I figured it was slow going because its hard seasoned white oak. The hardest stuff around here. It's been dried and dead for 5 years.
