I don't own one of these, but I have noticed that this the 2nd or 3rd recall notice for these saws?
Is there a design problem with these saws or is it poor quality control?

The're talking about adding a screw in the brake band area. Apparently the boss is already there. Sounds like a design decision to me, leave out a fastener, save 3 cents.

this is an old recall notice

Nick just drug it back up. Notice the date on the original post. The recall was way back at the beginning of the year.

"Nick just drug it back up."

That sounds derrogatory. Let's get into an e-mail battle - I'll start. Who ever's alive afterwards, report back the results to the forum.

I saw the recall notice published in TCI Magazine and wondered if anyone had dealt with it.

Thanks Nick, I saw the notice in TCI. My saw falls outside the serial number range. Its a good thing too.! Now that I got 'er piped and the custom made 28" bar for Picco micro is fitted I can't bear to let Teeny out of my sight!;)
