I got my 090G basket case off the shelf. The handlebar is all busted up and the mounts are too. Pretty ingenuous repar on the left side. The case half needs to be replaced to fix it right. The throttle shaft has tons of play in the carburetor body too. Anyone know a source for parts?

Some of what you need is standard 090 stuff--the carb and left side case. The gearcase cover is not. Clutch and handlebar (I think) are unique to the gear drive. The right side case half, busted and welded as it may be, looks perfectly sound. Don't forget the missing fanwheel-another generic 090/070 part. If the sprocket cover is gone, you're pretty well screwed on that one.

With the crazy prices 090 and especially 090G parts have one is almost tempted to buy a non-runner and chop it to bits instead of fixing it... :envy:

What the heck: I am almost tempted to say that having a small run of 090G gear case covers and sprocket cover cast would be a good investment.

The casting pattern for the gear drive bar covers (sprocket covers) is available for purchase if you're interested?.....Sale will include the CNC machining program and jig.

I haven't pulled the cover. I have a challenging work week with the possibility of some OT that could cut into the weekend. If I get some time I'll look at the saw.
