hello good sirs and misses!
i understand the europenan market has this option and a couple saws state side have been converted. can anyone provide maybe a part number for a sprocket that works. i want to try and see if an easier solution exists before i put more projects on my plate. i emailed someone who has performed this modification and am awaiting their reply. if i make some progress before i have a response i will share an update.

thank you for your time.

I looked at the parts catalog https://www.echo-usa.com/getattachm...4-83a9-02bd8c3540af/CS-2511T_C71915_042318_es and it sure looks like they have a picture of an 8 tooth spur which would be 1/4 chain. You are likely right about this option available elsewhere in the world. I suspect the worm drive part on the oil pump page needs changed to match the chosen clutch. Have you tried to find a parts catalog linked from a foreign country that has the choice you want? Sometimes one can get a splined drum and then use a 9 tooth rim, again needing the matching worm as this seems to be oil pump driven by clutch.

What kind of 1/4 chain do you wish to mount? The Stihl small one with 0.043 gauge or the larger more common one at 0.050 drive link width? It won't effect the sprocket.

I've used the 1/4" on the 150T and don't really care for it. I put the Stihl .043 on my 2511 and like that much better.

Hey KenJax - My buddy runs the 10" 1/4 on his 150 and he sez it's the best thing ever fwiw. I want to try that setup on my 2511 but getting the sprocket is proving difficult. Did you use the Echo sprocket A556001710 or is there another option? Where did you source your sprocket?

I didn’t have to change the sprocket at all. I just took the echo .050 3/8lp off and put the Stihl .043 3/8lp set up on.

We have some 150T’s with 1/4” at work and i don’t care for it. Its too small and a PITA to file.
