Evergreen pruning

Can anyone help me with identifying what type of evergreens these are?

Actually, arbor vitae was a thought of mine. If the foliage is flat, it's arbor vitae. But I couldn't determine the flat vs. not flat from the photo. All I know is the tall, columnar growth is a tree variety that I'm not familiar with.
 
View attachment 725924 ATH and old CB hit it . Thuja, Arborvitae or White cedar as they are known out west where they grow much larger than they do here in Illinois. You must not have any deer , those critters love to browse on them in the winter.

We used to have some of those evergreens on our property but the deer got them as you see from the photos taken from the back of our house a few weeks ago.

Thank you everyone for your expertise with narrowing down the species. I can now research and figure out if I can prune myself or need to hire a professional
