For the second time in about six months, the muffler on my 272 has developed cracks around the bolt holes. The cracks lead to complete failure of the metal as a piece breaks loose from the muffler, which then falls off. It appears to be metal fatigue due to vibration, but this last muffler was not very old. Is this a common problem, and what can I do to prevent it?
