Magnolia close to garage

I’ve got a magnolia growing up next to a semi subterranean garage. Not sure why it was planet there. Seems like an odd location as the leaves drop in the gutter and the roots are limited in where they can go. My biggest concern is root intrusion into any of the home/garage structure. I’m not familiar with magnolia roots? Any input appreciated.

Magnolia are commonly planted next to structures. I’ve never heard a complaint about their roots being a problem.
