How long should I allow this to dry before carving( it will stay attached to root system- not be removed)
I had it cut down at the pink ribbons so we can have a carving done( either by me- if I get enough time to practice with my chainsaw, or a professional Carver)also depends on if I get time off due to the virus shutdown...
I coated top after tree removal with wax paint...

Is that Silver Maple? Maple is very prone to rot. Are you going to leave it there or move inside after carving? Even if it dries, it will still crack as the inner wood dries.

Ok, like I started with it's going to stay attached to the root system forever ( staying in our yard) like a totem pole...
I'm looking for a approximate wait time before carving starts( is it fair to think once bark falls off I'm good to start?)
