I dont know what there intentions were, i didnt notice it until i was back home with it. I have no experience with a mill but a 20" bar and a 70cc saw is a bit small right?

3cc per 1'' of bar for me. 20 on a 70cc saw is a light saber. Not my place to say, but looking at your sig, Id unload the 441 or the 576 before Id let that mint 272p go. Both can easily be replaced, the 272 cannot. Also, with a ported 372xpw, and 2 ported 460s.... they don't bring anything to the table that those ported saws lack. The 272xp should be noticeably lighter than the 441 and 576. 272xp to me, was very Stihl like in performance. It's a rugged, dependable saw and was developed to compete with the Stihl 044. Given the choice between a 044, 272xp, and carb controlled 576xp and still 441..... Id pick the 044 or 272xp.:innocent:

and I don't see a 2 series saw in your sig and everyone should have at least one. Give it a chance. It may surprise you. Even if it is temporary, be proud of the sucker and add it to your sig.:drinkingcoffee::rock2:

Says the guy who sold a minty Mastermind 272xp...

I also sold a ......
Mint 242xp, mint ported 246, ported 254xp, mint 254xpg, ported 262xp, ported 272xp, NOs 268, the undisputed 50cc winner- 2153, a mint condition 2171xpw, a mint condition 2188, and a Poulan 655bp. I think that is all of them.

It was hard to do, and a few of them I regret. Ok, all of them I regret.... but it was necessary at the time.;)

You have a very good point, actually several good points lol.

I'm curious, what are the four wholes in the bar for?

it's to mount it in a haddon mini mill. i got one and like it alot more then my granberg mini. the holes aren't necessary as the mill comes with set screws to clamp the bar but drilling holes and bolting it to the mill is way more sturdy. here's the mill it was drilled for.

Chad, you have the nicest 272xp I have seen. I would not sell it. Sell something that, if you have remorse, you can go down to your local dealer and replace with one off the shelf.

Thanks Steven, I think you're right. It is a clean well kept saw, it looks like it has minimal hours on it.

Anymore offers? I made a custom deflector for the muffler so its a dual port now.tmp_30637-0316151738-903968150.jpg tmp_30637-0316151737-865137266.jpg

I also ran it in wood and tuned it after the muffler mod. She sounds good!
