Thanks for the replies! I have only used bows for bucking-up the wood once it is down flat on the ground. I don't think I would try one on brush, as small wood can make these bowsaws kick-back on you. I definitely wouldn't try to drop a tree with one. For "slicing" firewood, it's nothing like them. I've used bowsaws since I was a young teenager, but I can't hardly walk in the woods now without falling or having major breathing issues. Getting old and having bad health sucks, but I still like running saws. :)
