Mike Acres's site says it is Italian made, I suppose you saw that. Does it run?
 
Yah, I saw that....wish it had more info about it. The saw fires up good but I haven't cut with it yet.

I have one of these too. Probably one of the ugliest Mcculloch (or any brand) chainsaw I have ever seen, mine runs pretty well. I ordered a few parts for it yesterday from Fayetteville Equipment in NY, so its not quite made of "Unobtanium", yet. You can get IPL's from Parts Tree .com, (listed under pro mac 430) I have had no luck finding size or much else about it either.
Probably your best bet is to post in the "Official" Mcculloch thread, there are guys in there that get down to the serious nitty gritty with them. Those fellows really specialize in the more classic iron stuff, but maybe one of them could share some insight on these.

"They started production in 1/1985.The 440 was 2.4 CI or 44cc.Not a bad saw.We didn't sell many.They were more money.I have it's smaller brother a PM430VC.It still runs.Thanks for your order."
