SP81 fuel tank gasket???

Will a Mac 10-10 or similar saws fuel tank gasket work on a sp81? Looks like it will but I’m not sure

I don't believe that tank splits easily. Does it have screws holding it together? If no, no gasket.

Is yours leaking at the seam?

If it’s anything like a 10-10 it’s real easy. No leaks, just figured I’d replace it when I do the fuel line

Unlike a 1010, I believe those tanks are glued. If so, splitting is next to impossible. Ron

If it doesn't leak, leave it be. If/when it leaks, you'll have to resort to a fuel tank liner of some sort. Redkote, etc.

Those tanks are sealed at the factory. Disassembly is possible but will involve breaking all of the screws off, drilling them out to re-tap, then putting the tank back together with some kind of sealer that is totally fuel resistant and can withstand the vibrations.

Better option is to buy a can of Red Kote and seal the tank without taking it apart.
