Forum smart but 2stroke stupid....
I just acquired this Stihl 020T as a partial payment towards an engine swap I wrapped up today. It was for my buddies dad or I wouldn’t of gone this route.
Here’s what I know about the saw:
- it was pretty clean when I got it home
- the plug shows nice blue spark
- the gas tank was dry but the bar oil tank wasn’t
- there was several cans of premixed non ethanol fuel in the shed
- the air filter was decently clean as was the fuel filter
&
- lastly I was told the infamous “ran when parked” story.
right now it’s too late to try firing it up, if nobody picks it up soon then I’ll pick up a can of fresh premix and go from there.
$225 OBO, prefer a local pick up in the Portland OR area
