Yes I did try the brass solder but even when the metal in the muffler was glowing it still didn't melt. I think you need one of those special torches with a smaller more accurate flame running on special gas bottles for it to be practical in use.
 
The big bore cylinders actually produce less power than the stock cylinder piston sets do. Poor port sizes and shape, poor port timing, poor machining and most often overly high squish clearance makes big bore sets a poor choice unless one is a competent cylinder porter willing to grind the ports to a strong running setup. Out of the box the big bore sets are just mundane runners.

I guess so, and even if some of those was to be good enough to actually increase power and torq - if I bought a saw at 900-1300 Euros I wouldn't touch a screw on it anyway.
