as Dr. Frankensaw is back performing evil deeds to unsuspecting chainsaws. I've never seen a saw as butchered as this one, so I had to bring it home.
The piston is obviously toast and the cylinder is scored beyond hope. I'm going to clean it up and decide if I'll rebuild it for the makeover challenge or turn it into parts.

Looks like detonation damage on the crown of that 026 piston.

Looks more like an 024/026 to me. That is probably not detonation but something "dancing" around on the top of the piston. Mike

Yes I would agree with that observation. Base gasket was still on so probably running too lean, got too hot on 87?
