TreeSnap is an app that identifies locations of various trees like elms, chestnuts, ashes, and other species that are diminishing in numbers due to disease or insects. Scientists are taking clippings from trees that are identified with this app and trying to develop new varieties that can thrive and survive. With treesnap you can upload photos of surviving trees, and scientists will be told the location for further investigation. If you're interested just look up treesnap on Google play or apple.
