Tree too close to foundation?

Hello,

My wife and I bought our house recently and I'm wondering if this tree (I believe it is a Pagoda Dogwood from Googling) is too close to the foundation. There is no evidence of root intrusion with the cinderblock in the basement but I don't want any future problems. The trunk is about 3 feet from the house. Not sure what the root system is like...what do you guys think? Thanks in advanced

Ideally it would be planted further out but it will be fine there. Dogwood tend to have gentle roots.

As it gets bigger the limbs might knock some of your shingles off. Ask me how I know? I would take it down while it’s small. Roots will go anywhere in their search for water.

Dogwoods are quick growers and one of the cheapest to buy. Plus they last only about 30 years.

short life tree,-- so move it or get rid of it. guy with tree spade can move it if you really want to keep it.---not worth the expense but its moveable right now.
