Anyboby have experience with Steele splitters. Sears has 35 ton Steele splitter for $1149. Never heard of them before but the price seems ok. Any info would be appreciated.

Not seeing a whole lot about this one. I personally am not familar with with Steele at all. Googling didn't do much either except to show that Amazon sales the same thing. Only one review and it was a 3 star. I also found it at this site but again, no details. They don't even list the manufacture of the engine. I am guessing you would need to head to your local Sears and see how makes the components and then do some research. The price is certainly right..... or just very telling.

Blowing up the picture shows some very different (to me) hydro fittings which are at right angles. ( I do not care for that) Not a type that I have ever seen at the shop where I get my hydro hoses made. If a line pops could be a long wait for parts. No return line filter in pic. At that price ($1199) you know it is SE Asia/China product.

WOW, that is 50% off the normal price of that splitter. I gave them a glance before I bought my 22T huskee. I didn't look too hard because they weren't available in the store. Honda clone engine and a 21 second cycle time (kind if slow IMHO). Oh, by the way, sears wants nearly $450-550 to ship it to me.

I would pass unless you could lay your hands on one. When you add the shipping you are getting pretty close to the 35T Huskee.

Thanks for the info. I checked different sites and couldn't find much. Will call Sears and check country of origin and warranty.
