If your going Husky and that would be my pick..18 inch bar and would be good for farm use and would last you a liftime if you took care of her.....If the other choice,,I'd go with a Stihl 260...I love em both,,but for the trimming and feel of things,,I like the 346,,but for the hardcore stuff,,I pull my 260...Hard choice,,kinda like havin a wife and a sexy girlfriend,,,what to chose..... LOL!!!! Oh,,PS I;m just kiddin on that comment.. :)

I am so used to Stihl, I let a 346xp slip through my fingers. The guy only wanted $100 for it but I wasn't quite sure about it. Should have done my research. :buttkick: should have bought it. When I got back to him it was gone. :censored:

czeigler wow man...

Thats ashame,,but like me before I got this little 346...I hated Huskys...I dont know if you know the story how I become of this little saw,,but won it on my birthday tru a raffle that was on here awhiles back and I thought,,oh heck,,a Husky,,but when the first time I ran it,,man,,I been and always have a big love for my Stihls,,but that little saw is the sh*ts...Thats my little saw to have fun with...It just screams...It dont hurt me to limb with,,and to fell some pretty decent size trees with...It's painfull to pick what saw to use anymore...LOL!! Kinda like tryin to decide what to get the kids for Christmas.... :)

I like the 350 better than the 346xp. Lighter and more tourqe. Both mod easily and will run as long as you do you're part, forever! I've got five years of hard use on my 350, no problems.
I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I had the money sitting around. (I don't right now)

Yeah, I have always favored stihls also... I have been running my buddy's 575xp, boy that thing will run but is is pretty heavy. We have been cutting some bigger stuff and it has a little longer bar then mine. I try to keep an open mind though.

Guess I am a little confused here, are we talking about the same Husky 350 that got bashed all over the place a few months ago because they had a real nasty habit of losing the muffler bolts all the time?(mine included!)
Not trying to be sarcastic here! Just really confused!I thought that saw was thoroughly trashed here awhile back.
I know after dealing with the muffler falling off with no solution from Husky on the deal, I got rid of mine and replaced it with the 455 Rancher as my limbing/lightweight stuff saw.

The NE346 will beat them both with a wide margin, if all are stock....

I must have mised that one, and you must have missed a lot of my posts!! I love the 350, I think it was the best bang for buck saw ever made!! I am dreadng not being able to find them, as I think the 450 is going to SUCK!!!

Why O Why would you use a 455 rancher when you have a 357XP?
(The 350 is way over rated IMO)

I have the 345,which looks to be identical but with a smaller bore, and 3 hp,as opposed to 3.2 hp of the 350.This saw rocks,Im very happy with it,and use it quite a bit,I havent had any trouble with it,Id buy another in a heartbeat.Mine is about 8 months old.

Just got the 357xp a month or so back, and the 455 hasnt come off the shelf since then. played with the idea of selling it off, but i figured what the heck.good back up saw if the 357xp goes down.
Besides, I got CAD pretty bad now, and hate to part with ANY saw.
