Supposed to rain big time tomorrow. Gonna make a freaking mess.

Yep!!

It's already raining over here on the west side, and making Slop outta the couple of feet of snow left.

Was planning on doing some cutting/splitting tomorrow.

I don't cut or split in the rain. It's just not proper.:D

Come on Cold front!!!!

Stay safe!

plenty of snow here in the thumb, its been quite a winter and its not technically winter yet. not to bad in the woods though its nice to drop trees in the snow and cut them up without jabbing the saw in the dirt would be nice to get a warm stretch to be able to wash up some farm equipment

With near 40 degree temps today and 50's and rain tomorrow, I should be able to get back to the log piles first of next week. Otherwise I will run out by Friday or Sat. Still have 14" on the ground in Tuscola county.

just waiting for more snow. Thinking about going to the shop to wash my pick-up so it looks pretty:clap: plowing snow(for myself). As far as snow removal we have a 9220 with a 12' Degelman blade and couple front end loaders. I say bring it on. Only thing not cleaned yet is the CaseIH and disc. which were waiting to finish tillage. Deep snow or should I say drifts can be a mess when I am tryn' to spread lime. I think that I almost enjoy driving my spreader truck more than a ported & polished chainsaw.
Truck sounds real nice with a straight pipe and gotta love that road hum at 50 mph.

Is that a dairy or beef operation?

Hey guys...anyone near Lapeer that's looking for wood? Father in Law has probably a cord or two of cherry/maple/beech. Half is couple years old, some I just cut down today. He doesn't have a use for it just cleaning up around his property. Cherry is about 18" diameter on down. I'd take it if I was closer.

hawken08(from AS) is in Lapeer,if not I know a guy(Have Tractor Will Travel*not from AS*)That started heating with wood this year,he might be interested.

55*, fog and rain in the Tulip City. Tomorrow colder with winds up to 50 MPH, there's gonna be a mess of branches down.

Thats a good deal for an 8ft plow. Hopefully it will hook right up and work. I have a 8 1/2 western and it moves snow very nice.

Picked it up yesterday,it's the 9er-ultra mount,it came off the same kinda truck I'll be putting it on so the wiring should be easy.
It didnt come with the truck mount,so I'm looking for that, about $500 is what I've been hearing. Now we wont get anymore snow... :givebeer:

Sounds good Beerman...shoot me an IM if either of them are interested. Just trying to save the FIL some work and keep some good wood from going in a burn pile.

Anyone else hear that wind just howling last night? In a little bit I am gonna go on a damage patrol through my neighborhood and check for branches, etc...I gotta be back in tome to watch the Lions go 0-16

Wind

Man, was it windy where you guys were last night? I live in Owosso and it was blowing like a b1tch. Sump pum never shut of for 6 straight hours and there's water setting all over our wheat (tile were working like crazy though). Kinda worried because ditches are full of snow and the tile in our field have really no place to go. How's it where everyone else is?

:jawdrop: Lots of the standing dead in my woods arent standing anymore...

Here too. I got a call from a neighbor about a tree that fell behind him and he wants a hand cutting it up. I wonder how many people I would piss off if I ran the SXL in town on a Sunday.

Windy here last night and this morning, sounded like jets flying over. We had a hell of a thaw yesterday, glad I live on a hill.

Yep!!! The neighbor clocked it at a high of 58mph, avg. was 22 at 0700.

Lots of dead across the back roads between here and town. In town, a couple trees have landed on houses.

At around 0300 I thought a Tornado was coming through. The wind was howling/screeching/moaning as it went through the trees like it does in a hurricane. Creepy as hell.

After lightning strikes Friday night, and then this, I'm looking forward to a couple of Blizzards to get back to "Normal".

Stay safe!

Rain all day yesterday and windy as hell today. Loading up a couple saws tomorrow and heading to town to see what needs cut up.
Hey the Lions scored three touchdowns today!

Hey Michigan brethren

How bout our beloved Lions?? Kinda makes ya proud doesn't it? EVEN if it is the wrong end of the record books, a record is still a record.

I thought the siding was going to come off of my house! Power went out around 6:30 am and we may be out til Tuesday. A bunch of line poles went down. Had to borrow dads generator to run the fridge and deep freeze tonight.

I was amazed how much water went away in my back yard overnight, took it down by at least half.
