Was thinking about giving my $50 041AV a coat of paint, as most of it has gone and thought a new plaque would be a nice touch. I have two side covers with them on, but one is faded out and the other is all cut up.
Alternatively if anyone has a good clean one for sale, I'd be happy to buy it! Shipping to over here should cost near nothing in a standard letter post, can pay cash or Paypal.
I need roundhead rivts as well, but hope to be able to find them locally!

I will leave this question for Brad to answer definitely but Bryce has sold me some over the last couple of years.

I got my Stihl logo from Spike 60. He's a AS sponsor!

Sorry, forgot you are a noob, Brad Bisnelling restores a lot of Stihl chainsaws and knows alot of sources for getting vintage Stihl parts, we both buy parts from Bryce who runs a online source for Stihl parts, his store is called Cheap Stihl Saw Parts, you can find him through Google or on the ebay chainsaw parts listings. He has many vintage parts for many brands of chainsaws. There may also be some of the site sponsors that have these parts.

Ah, thanks Pioneer and others! The badge above looks in good condition but seems to have been drilled throught the front? I took mine off by drilling the back out, then the rivets knocked out cleanly. I'll contact Brad, I remember seing his Ebay store before when browsing for bits, I'll drop him an email and see if he has anything...:)

I found his site on Ebay - seems to have every type of tag except the one I'm looking for! I've contacted him through there, just in case he has one he hasn't listed...

I bet I bought one from him, but anyway expect to pay . I wish I had a bucket of them
They bring a pretty penny on ebay.

I have a brand new [never riveted to cover] Stihl 056 AV Magnum top cover badge/tag if anyone is interested, Sam Madsen gave it to me back in the 80s, I would trade it even for a good conditon or better 090AV top cover badge/tag.

Is there a source for manufacturer lapel pins?

I saw one go on ebay this week for about $40. It was the same design as the old stump style Stihl logo that Patrick is talking about in this thread. A pretty neat old piece, but way out of my price range, and I think I've probably only worn a lapel pin twice in my life anyway.

I'd figure I would wear a Dolmar or Husky pin into my local Stihl dealership. Just to annoy the mechanic who rants about the sewing machine chainsaws, as well as anything not STIHL branded. Don't get me wrong, I love my Stihl blower, but I need to get a rise out of this guy  .

Personally, I love the T-shirts and hats that have been showing up on ebay with the simple slogan, "Run, Forest" and a picture of a Husky saw underneath. I even bought one for a buddy of mine. But I think they are bogus, because I called my local Husqvarna dealer and they'd never heard of them. It seems like someone has a nice cafepress business going. I have many Stihl hats and I've worn them to said Husky dealer and never heard a peep about it. I guess the Swedish overlords have them well trained.

I dug around through the box tonight. Is this the tag you need?

$6 shipping, but a lot more to Northern Ireland! It'd probably come close to $50 overall, which is what I paid for the saw in good running condition...
If I can't find a decent logo at a reasonable price, I might look into having a batch made up - the price some Ebayers seem to think they are worth should mean I could break even on a small run of "brand new" ones!

Cheers,

Patrick.

I don't know what you'd pay for just the logo, but here's a New Old Stock Starter with the log log on it for $22.99 and $6 shipping.
