Not sure if these pics have already made the rounds but I found these while looking for pics of the saw last week. I assume it was done up this way for a trade show or something. Looks cool. Wouldn't have to worry about faded plastic, eh' 04Ultra. Sorry couldn't resist. Enjoy.

P.S. My new 346XP NE didn't come with a bucking spike, is that normal? Most pictures I have seen it looks like they should have one on the inboard side of the bar.

I like it, and how is it coping a Dolmar?
Looks more like a gray Jonesy to me. Mine is the orange color and yes it came with the single bucking spike.

They are copying Dolmar cause 2 or so years ago Dolmar had a see thru clear saw on display at EXPO.... Tony at Amics had a pic of one posted on his sponsor thread.......

So, who did Dolmar copy? It's not as if they were the first company that ever thought of showcasing something with a clear version for a trade show.

A few years back it was trendy for electronics - telephones, calculators, computers, etc. that were sold that way. As a sales/demo tool it's been around a looooong time.

Would be interesting to see how clear it stayed in use.

So what you are saying is that Dolmar didn't invent the wheel, they reinvented it. Husqvarna then copied said neu-wheel.

Pardon me, I forgot. Most saws are displayed on a shelf, but Dolmars are on an altar.
