Where to get Jonsered Chainsaw Hard Case

I want a hard plastic case for my new 2171, but not the orange one with Husqvarna on it. I have read these were available.......anyone know where? Thanks.

Yep try A dealer mine has the form fitting cases and he had some power boxes the square ones but his last shipment of power boxes were orange ones yuk!Funny thing is he is not a Husky dealer.:monkey:

As in hard case or soft case? I don't have any dealers close to me so I was really hoping to order online. I would paypal someone the money if they could pick on up and ship it to me. It needs to fit the 2171 with a 20" bar. I like the idea of form fitting better than the husky powerbox. Thanks.

They are the hard cases,I don't know if they make one to fit the 2171 my 2159 just fits in mine and it was the biggest they have. With the 20'' bar it touches the front of the case but mine wares a 15 or 18 all the time. I think you might need the power box type of case?

The 2171 with a 20" bar will fit in the non-box ones, but it is tight, mostly around the bar as they have a taper to them.

They are made more for the smaller saws.

Waylan, what did you end up getting in the way of a case for the Jred 2171? Just picked up a 2171 and don't like the orange Husky case either.

How do you like the 2171? I have a Stihl 440 and wanted another saw of comparable size/power.

Northern Tool has a Power Box case that's black. They sell it for $32.

I never did anything. I throw a piece of scrap carpet in the bed of my truck to sit the saw on whenever I take it somewhere.

I think it is sad that jonsered doesn't have more support online. If google doesn't come up with any hits I don't know what else to do.

I like the 2171.........starts easy, good power, etc. But I have not run a 440. Have you run them side by side? Is the 2171 really smoother? It does take a few tanks to break in the 2171 so you probably won't be able to make a good comparison if your 2171 is new.

Let me know what you do about a carry case.
