How do you cut these big trees down without getting in deep doo doo?

Arent the protected and all that mess?
Actually the only one that was ignorant enough on this board to get in deep shi^ with cutting trees they weren't supposed to was u. I now have read that you have been way more mature and have been logging at least 5 years now you know a lot more than anyone else. It seems you still haven't grown up...imagine that.

The "took you long enough" was classic. Nice shot.
I have to say that is the best part. I am glad I am not the only one that has a better half that picks at everything.

Bill

LOL. Then she shows him how to limb it. Was she commenting on your hinge, too ? LOL.
Cool video. Looks like a really nice day in the woods with the family. Thanks for sharing. rep sent

Nice work Evan, always enjoy your pics, beautiful country out your way.

thanks guys,
066 is ported and Has alittle muffler mod. the wifes 026 is also muffler modded and my 440 is ported and muffler modded to. i use the 440 the most but these bigger trees this year has had me doing must the bucking and felling with the 66
these trees have me overbucking with the 440 real fast and then id buck down oneside with the 66 and finish on the other side with the 440.

thought about getn a 42" bar but i dont know that it would get used enough to be worthit. i am going to one of these days get a 32" rw bar and maybe start felling more with the 440.

Nice drop. what are you doing with the wood? A dropped a white pine in the Adirondacks about that size once. Great vid

Nice tree, I am heading over to John Day, Oregon area next week to get some firewood too.

Why dont you just go over north of Ontario. Ironside, unity, they are closer than johnday. I dunno how much fire wood there is to cut in the hells canyon area, but that may be even closer

just cutn for firewood. all the small stuff has pretty much been cut out of the area. theres a huge pine on the other side of the rd, i think its bigger then 46" but its pine and try and cut all fir maybe if im still cutn when the snow starts to fly ill drop the pine
