Every dealing I have had swap wise has gone smooth as can be.

So if I've ever traded with you, you know who you are.

There have been so many people that have given me little bits and pieces for saws that I needed for the cost of shipping, or a 6 pack or something.

I can't even remember all the folks that have helped me out.

Not to mention Dave for putting a GTG on at his house and not asking a single bit in return.

I am much obliged to my friends here though.

Chris

Teddy.Scout sent me a handle for my 090 when I was needing one in the worst way. Wouldnt take a dime for it, or shipping. Also a good dude for those late night chainsaw conversations.

Also had a good time with my home boys last year at our GTG in north of Columbus. Stihlboy, Ryan Marine, Birddog, Cheapskate, and a few others.
Rich Dougan (ChainsawKing) sent me a saw one time, bar was lost in shipping. I called him and he didnt even question me or hesitate before sending out another. He has also been very helpful on the phone, never cut me short when I was trying to get the down low on new offerings from Stihl.
Many others that I have dealt with on here that have helped me out, these guys above are just a few.

Lets hear about the others, I know there are a ton more... And thanks to the rest of you guys who have helped me out or shared some wisdom that I havent mentioned.

When I first joined here, I was going through some hard times. I had a cancer scare and an aunt who I was very fond of had just died. I was trying to get some saws together to sell because I was dead broke. I needed some cylinders to finish a couple saws off. I can't remember his user name, but a guy named Rick here who has a small shop in southwest Washington sent me the cylinders I needed free of charge. I was able to sell two big saws right away thanks to him. All he wanted me to do was 'pay it forward', which I gladly did.

When I joined this site I knew next to nothing about saws, other than they took mixed fuel. Everyone on here has helped me to some point while I've been lurking through all the threads, but in particular I'd like to thank SawTroll, Spike60, and Cantdog for all that I've learned from them. I'm no kind of mechanic, but those three have given me enough simple to follow advice to bring 6 old Jonsereds back from the dead. Also a big thanks to PB for his help with IPL's and the like. Check out Cantdog's thread on his 49sp and 70E rebuild for some Jonsereds rebuild education!

What a bunch of great people!!!!

I haven't been on here long at all.But the help I have got so far is unbeliveable!!!!! A special thankyou to scooterbum who just helped me out with some parts.I just want to keep things going just as he told me.Pay it forward!!!

PG, Troll, Jacob J., Gologit, and Spike are great sources of info. Bounty Hunter is such a positive guy and I am envious of his hair. lol Volks, Wiggs, Saw Garage, Jockeydeuce, are all guys who have helped me out for nothing or next to nothing. I was selling a 066 for a friend a month or so ago and Angelo C thought it was mine and I needed cash quick. He offered to buy the saw and hold it until I could pay him back. Stand up guy in a big way. Everyone I had at my GTG really impressed me. Albert and Tom D. Coker are two of the best guys that do not post often. Albert is a great source of info as well and a true mechanic and not a parts replacer.

There are many here that have helped me, and I am very thankful for that. Mark Heimann and Ron Woods, also CPR, and all those that had both funny and informative posts. I learned a lot already, and am looking forward to learning more about saws. Lots of very nice people here, and hope to meet a few at some GTG's.

Tom D. Coker is a nice guy. I sold him a Ryobi string trimmer motor a while back. I saved that little engine for about 5-6 years because I knew it would run, just needed a little cleaning up. The flexible driveshaft inside of the tube broke, so I pulled the motor and saved it. I knew it was worth holding on to. Glad I was able to help Tom with his project.

Again, thanks, all of you.

I have never done business with anybody on this site and come away less than 200% satisfied.

Knowledge-wise? Where to even begin? This gang is a collective wealth of such a depth and breadth of knowledge, and so preposterously willing to share that knowledge, that I feel deeply honored to be a part of this community.

I'm deliberately avoiding any specific names because I don't want to leave anybody out. There's too many to list, anyway.

Kevin1 sent me a parts saw and Longbar sent me a much needed clutch for a Homie 360.

Bsneling has helped greatly with many Pms on saws as well as many others here. Henniman(sp) has been a help as well with all thing Mac related.

If I have forgot anyone I am sorry. This site has been most helpful to me in many ways and has hooked me up with people halfway around the world which is really cool that one can do that and feel comfortable about it (CM76)

I hope I can make it to the GTG Iowa and meet up face to face with some of the people here:D

mdavelee whom I 1st met on AS. he has helped me a lot. Has been a very good buddy too. Terry Landrum, PT Jeep, the possums and blown crew cab and all the guys I met at the GTG.
And of course Eric Copsey. Has built me some unbelievable saws. Wood chucker81,Jack walker, Spike 60 is a hell of a guy, whom I really enjoy talkin with. Randy Mac is always a blast. And sawtroll. And so many, many more......and you know it, procarbine2k1 A true man of his word!

This member driven forum has been a tremendous resource to me and my 2 cycle knowledge. From those who take the time to document what I would call a tutorial on a given saw topic -- to others wit and wisdom on all things chainsaw related. Thanks to ALL of you, and thanks to the OP for starting the thread.

I was having a bad year when I joined up here, couldn't sleep at night and so on. I started looking at Dolmars and ended up here. All the guys who helped me out in researching them and a couple of friends I made here really got me into this hobby and got me through a bad time better than my family and friends could. Thanks to all.

When I first joined AS I was cutting around 2-3 cords of wood with a "throw away" poulan and a husky 350(that had issues). The great gentlemen of AS helped me get my 350 fixed and introduced me to CAD. Many times I have had problems and needed to call on the great minds of the AS community. Now I can take my saws apart and get them back in top shape with only minimal questions. This is such a valuable website.

To name a few Nmurph has helped me with many of my saw questions,. When my splitter had its issues John R, K.C., flewism all helped by pointing me in the right direction to get it back running with little out of pocket expense. Now that was a big deal to me as I was about to drop 400 big ones into a new B&S engine...
Many many more have answered several of my questions and I
 to such a great site!!!

I forget the member now, but he sent me an 011 for parts I needed a couple trips 'round the sun ago. Keen set me up with a D-44 (btw it's still cursed, I think the seals are gone, shoulda tore it apart from GO), RandyMac and leeha have sent me parts, too. mheimann and blsnelling have helped on tech issues quite a lot.

I love reading stories from (sorry if I skip anyone) RandyMac, gologit, slowp, madhatte and the others on the logging forum.

Feel silly calling out guys by name. For each one there's probably 2 that I'm forgetting right now...

like ModifiedMark, sef3h, super3... it goes on.

There's so many of them, I couldn't name them all. I've had allot of help the short time I've been a member here,,, and will probably get allot more help in the future!! Maybe I can return the favor one day.

Many of you guys have helped me out immensely without even knowing it! When you answer others problems, your answers get stored in some dusty corner of my mind, and when I use the advice, I wonder where I learned that! lol Sux to get old!
Advice from saw tuning to tree felling, to noodling, to proper nomenclature, you name it! I have learned so many things here!

When I joined I had issues with my 359. As it turned out, you guys here informed me of the carb recall on my machine. My dealer wasn't even aware of it! So this site saved me tons of money!
Who wouldn't like having such a vast knowledge base available!

I don't dare name anyone specifically for fear I would miss one and thereby insult him. But a thanks to all of you for the help!

I liken my expertise in wood cutting to a guy with a white belt in Karate - I knew just enough to get hurt! Thanks to AS I am getting better.

There is a common bond among the members of this forum that I have noticed. All of them will at a moments notice drop what they are doing to help a friend. That is a trait that I thought was long gone, not only in this country that I call home, but around the world.

This forum has reestablished my faith that there are good men and women on this planet, regardless of where you go, what country you visit, if you are in need, friends are just seconds away.

There are members from nearly every continent on this planet and to name just a few would be a travesty, I believe there are great folks that are members here, and just reading some of the post reaffirms my belief.

To the OP, my hats off to you Sir, great thread!

Thanks buddy, that means a lot to me.
Our two man GTG is coming up before too long, and it will be a good one! Glad to hear E. Copsey did ya right on your saws, I have heard nothing but great things about him.
