whats your " go to " saw

The saw that sees the most use - my 346xp, small and light but powerful enough to handle most of the stuff I come across day to day.

Saw I would grab if I could only take one and had no idea what size wood to expect? My 365, may take it's time on the bigger stuff but hard to beat! This may change when I invest in a smaller bar for the 660, the 36" on it now isn't the most comfortable to use on a daily basis.

My 361's are my go to , they suit most of the cutting I do .

Not that stihl saws need parts very often, when you do you can get them and everyone worth their salt has a copy of the stihl scs on their computer.

The old girl limbs like a lazer, and pulls like a 70cc.

If a need comes up for something bigger, this should cover it.

60cc and 6 cubes is a good 2 saw plan.

I would like to be cool and say the 066, or the 440, or the 365. But honestly the one that is the closest to grab and therefore gets used the most is the trusty Husky 51. I can't kill it. Inadvertantly tried, but couldn't finish the job.

Something to be said about durability and reliability. some saws will cut for years and only ask for fuel and oil.

The one I go to the most is the one I don't like. I put it through the dirtiest and most dangerous tasks. I put on it the old used chains (sharp). It's hard to start and that aggravates me. Then it cuts lilke a champ with those worn down chains, and that buggs me too. I got it pinched in a falling tree the other day. The tree leaned, then twisted, and fell towards the saw. I was fixing to say goodbye as that saw bar was scrunched around between the trunk and stump, then the saw stood right up on its nose before it fell loose. I looked it over, fired it up and went back to sawing. It's my little cheap Wal-Mart Poulan 3416. It reminds me of an old cur dog that ain't worth nothing, but he always comes out alive no matter how you treat him. Beats all I ever seeen.

I usually grab my 361 with an 18 es bar.
Big stuff gets the ms460

atv /tractor usually finds me with my mm'd ms260 pro with 16" es bar in 3/8


Lately no fun with a saw as I am deployed again to oef.
