Some members here have had bad luck with that seller. Makes me leary. I did buy a bar from him once. It was as advertised, but shipping took a long time and he didn't package it right. He put a 31" Cannon RN bar (for a large frame Mac) in a flimsy Stihl bar sleave (actually two taped together) and put a tiny bit of packing tape on the end. The bar was on my doorstep with the RN STICKING OUT of the package. There was what looked like a fresh ding on the roller. Those sleaves are NOT meant for shipping.
I'd like to find one local (that's what I meant) too, as that's a lotta money to throw on a feebay saw. I've had mixed results with buying saws on feebay. The only time I like to buy saws over a distance like that is if I 'know' the seller from here or another site and have at least somewhat of a gauge of their character............................of if I get a feebay saw for such a screamin' deal that I'm willing to take a bit more risk. There was a CP125C on my local CL about two years ago. Damn thing was listed for $100 and looked great in the pic (and had a 36" or so sprocket nose). Sold before I got to it......
It's raining yellow around here! This one already has a 101 block in it, but lost compression. This one will be worked over and sent back where it came from.
It'll be getting the adjustable carb off the other saw.
I've got pics of the block going in mine. I'm going to start another thread to document the build though. I don't want to take over this thread. I value you guys input and advice too much to tick you off

Wigglesworth, you asked about the differences of the DE80. It shares the same rod and piston as the SP81, 850 and 800. Same crank and flywheel as 800. Unique to the DE80 is the intake manifold with direct mount carb which required a different tank/handle design. Also has a different carb. It has all of the late model goodies: reinforced clutch cover (although the muffler guard is still a weak design), DSP valve, and reinforced skid plate. I sold mine and wish now that I had kept it. Prices seem to be varied on these as many don't know what they are. If you don't turn it, I hope you enjoy it. Ron

O.K. you guys are killing me...
At least I get to go home today and look at my saws for a minute or two. Maybe I can even start one up in the shop and sniff a little exhaust again, seems like it has been weeks.

Good morning Mark. I took dads 35 that you got running for me to the Ar. gtg,it starts and runs like a new one,but that chain wouldn't cut anything. I think I have some new mac. chain in the storage unit. The 800's impressed a few down there too and that is not a mac. crowd. Need to take some big iron south and show them what YELLOW FEVER is all about.:smile2:

Well, not for now anyway. Trying to get into the big bores...
The latest Mac acquisition: 660 w/ 3:1 reduction. Really nice shape, other than paint loss on the black covers. Had trouble making the Tilly HL on the saw run right, so I stole the 650 carby to get it going. I added the General bar and new 1/2" full chisel to finish it off.
