You can't escape yourself
This cylinder came off my Jonsered 625 but have never seen this casting before. I know Mahle, Gilardoni, and Husqvarna cylinders but have never run across this before. I don't believe it is aftermarket; there is a thread here discussing this cylinder marking on 2 other 625's. The marking is also on the inside of the piston.

Does anyone know the manufacturer?

I know this doesnt help much, but it is certainly factory. I bought a 61 husky off the original owner, cylinder has the same stamping. 85 model.

see the stamp on the base that is a "K" over the top of an "S", that is the manufacture. Im not sure of their name, but they did alot of OEM stuff for husky's. I personally have an old 288 and some 2100 OEM stuff that is made by them.

I believe those were Kolbenschmidt brand (but not completely sure.)

I know they did make two-stroke top ends for a few years for quite a few applications.
The one dealership I worked at had two new Stihl 026 piston kits NIB on the shelf that
were Kolbenschmidt and they had the same "KS" marking on the inside of the pistons.

Kolbenschmidt have done a lot for Stihl in the past 024,026,075/076 P+C to name a few. In recent years they have made a reappearance with often the smaller saws with Mahle cylinders containing KS pistons. I think they are now again doing several P+C kits for Stihl, some MS660s have them;

Some other examples in a thread I started. I believe a lot of people are mistakingly calling KS pistons and cylinders Stihl branded ones;
