2159 is a great saw (mine is the Husqvarna 359). I use it all the time for firewood and would highly recomend it however, that price is too high. If I were spending that much and had a 2153, I would lean towards a Husqvarna 365x-torq (or jonsered equivalent). Price will be very close and power is much more. If you can get a 2159 at closer to $ 530..................that's looking better. I also agree with Nmurph, used or e-bay will save many $$$$. And as mentioned, the old edition 365 is a great saw. JMO.

If you got a 2153, I would stepup another size and go to the 2165 or 365 Husky. Especially if its a want purchase and not a need purchase. I've seen old edition 365's for that same money.

Ya i have the big saws covered 660/460/440 and a 261 as far as stihl goes and a 372/346 in the husky dept..and that lone 2153 red saw...and i really like it ...so i figured id like to have another and i miss havin a 59cc saw ( i had a 361 at one time ) and sold it now i regret it ! .. i like that class saw..i know some dont but i do ! ...so...C.A.D has set in full throttle !

They changed it up on their website a few months ago. They call them "Powerful & Robust" saws. 365,555,353 and the 369.
They're listed with the XP's. Casual and Landowner are on a different link.

The Robby saws weren't even listed at the end of 2011. I guess they were sitting around trying to figure out categories.

Yep - but why not just call them semi-pro?

Good idea.

Pro, Semi pro and Landowner.

I don't like 'homeowner' or 'casual' designtions. Nothing 'casual' about a chainsaw and 'homeowner' means "buy this, noob".

PS
Kami: I love the 359. It tweens right in between those saws you have. But for $50 to $75 more you get a state of the art 555 that hooks up to a PC.

Also, how is the motherland? I'm originally from Whitehall.

The 2159 is a nice saw but holy crap is that over priced. For that coin you should be getting a whole lotta extra goodies with it. And I mean a lot. The saw when it wasn't outdated was only $550ish if memory serves, which lately it hasn't lol. I don't remember it being that expensive though, the 555 was quite a jump I though. Either way, too much money IMHO. But, it's a nice saw.

Ya think?

I just bought a like new 357xp with a toasted top end from a Husky service shop for 50 bux due to it being a warranty deal Husky still seems to be honoring in some cases since the well known problems with that line continue to pop up on saws without much use, but just enough to toast em.

Great saws when fixed, but $600 is insane considering I also just bought a mint 55 today for 30 bux.

Did I mention my $250 044?

:dizzy:

Some saws on the floor a 2156,2159.357+359.

Wow, you do have it bad, LOL...and not brand specific.

I really like the 60cc +/- saws. Looks like you really need one! :D

Yeah, he's got it bad. Quite a lot of dates to the Prom.

ps

I missed the 346. The 359 is just a bit more. Serious overlap there.

Right by monroeville on 22, the guy i go see is up in indiana county , its called hildebrands mower shop , the guys there said jonsered saws have been sold there since 1974-75, its a small place if you blinked you would miss it , hes not too far from the I.U.Ps college maybe 3 or 4 miles

Thes 60cc saws are a lot of fun!

I ran a ported 359 recently that'd make your head spin. Stump Broke that is.

So I had to buy an old 359. :hmm3grin2orange:

Yep, imo the 359/2159 makes little sence, unless you have them ported right away.

If i had any " sense" when it came to saws i wouldnt have as many as i do to begin with..i suppose others on here have no sense either...do i need all these saws ?...absolutely not...do i love havin them ?...yes i do..logic doesnt apply to me here...as i said its a want and not a need !
