Can a bent bar be repaired?

bored a hole in a stump and inserted bar to the bend and got it straight enough to finish a cut but never good enough to suit me. Think I got a twist and a bend in mine (Stihl bar) Old logger near me made a roller straightener similar to how steel is leveled in a mill, have not had a chance to see it

If it was me, I would make a knife out of the bent bar and go buy a new one.

There are a few forges in my area that are always looking for "GOOD" pieces of steel to make custom knifes. A guy came to my place and picked upafew roached out bars for knives.He made a coworker of mine a knife out of that steel cable that they use on the inside of concrete docks plank. Very nice!!! You could still see the swirls in the blade from the forged strands of cable
