Ohh no Dennis, I bought a Pro Mac 10-10 today :msp_scared:. Just gotta pick it up. Could not beat $25 and a brand new chain. Supposedly running...I know how that goes :msp_biggrin:. After getting rid of my 10-10s Pro Mac, I figured that I needed to try out one of these 10-10s in the woods. After I get it I will set down the XL-12 and see how this one does. Both 54cc. the guy also had a 2-10 also.

Ahh the 510, sorry I over looked that. I still need a carb kit for my SP40.....im going on vacation tomorrow so my mind has been elsewhere. Looking forward to wasting away in margaritaville:D

I think my SP40 has a Zama carb, whats with all the different carbs?!:dizzy:

I have had good luck with most carbs except for the new made in china Zama's. Have had good luck with the older Zama's tho. I wanted to tell you that I came a cross a older (with no brake, no it was not busted off :msp_wink:) Mini Mac 35. It was complete and ran good! Had like 95% of the paint left on it and did not have a speck of dirt. I would not give the guy what he was asking tho. $20 was a little steep for me.

Ok you bunch of geeks, guy brought me a Mac Wildcat 2.3 for repair today and the throttle will not open all the way and is very ssssllllllloooooooowwwwwww on acceleration, never gets to WFO at all. Any suggestions and how difficult is this little turd to break down and do I just need to tell him to come and get it......

new rings, crank bearings, seals, rebuilt carb, new points/condensor, a few screws here and there and she's a runner. a friend had me go over it for his dad. was a freeby when he bought 2 850's and 2 700's back in the mid 80's. the old man really loved the little saw. sat for about 18-19 years in the back of a dirt floor shed (on the floor) getting burried in the corner. had to find another piston for it as the old one was scored pretty bad. the cylinder was fine, but like all of these closed port versions, the ports are very sharp with no beveling. putting a bevel on them really helps them live longer.

does your saw have where you live on it?

the gasket on the right is for a 310. makes a good template for the engine to manifold gasket. just need to match the port shape as they are diffetent:

gap the points to .017 and close her up.
add the new clutch, drum, bar and chain and she's ready for pruning duty once again.
oh, and recoil spring and pull cord.:sucks:
oh yeah a new air filter also. sheesh!

Black and decker via canada.....ehhhh? Haven't seen that before. Did it fire right up after the rebuild? Post a vid of some wood cutting, the big boys in the grown up MAC thread are getting anxious that the mini's are taking over:D

no vids of it but it took about 6 pulls to fire, the carb was pretty close but the low was a little lean. ran it for a half hour to make sure i got some heat through it. runs good. going to take it back over some time today.
